Starting Friday, July 3, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM daily, the family will be receiving friends at the home of a sister, Ms. Salula Brown, 122 Bowens St, Darlington, SC.
A public viewing will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc., 612 S Main St, Darlington, SC.
A homegoing celebration will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 6, 2026, at Greater Morning Star Apostolic Ministries #7, 609 Oakland Ave, Florence, SC.

Obituary
Sister Georgia Ann Brown was born May 31, 1952 in Darlington, SC, a daughter of the late George and Irene Dubose-Brown. She departed this life June 27, 2026, in Kershaw County at Springdale Healthcare Center in Camden, SC.
She attended Darlington County Public Schools graduation from Mayo High School Class of 1970.
Georgia worked at Nytronic Plant where she retired after several years.
She was a faithful member of Greater Morning Star Apostolic Ministries. Georgia was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost speaking in other tongue as the Spirit of God gave the utterance. Georgia loved her pastor and church family.
She was preceded in death by: two brothers: Johnson Howard and Illinois Brown and by her special uncle, Burnice Dubose.
Those left to cherish her precious memories are: three sisters: Carolyn Howard of New York, Evangelist Salula Brown and Geraldine Bacote (Donald) Bacote both of Darlington, SC; her last uncle, Walter Dubose of New Jersey; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends along with her church family; a special thank you goes out to Georgia’s caretaker, Isabella, who took special care of her during her illness.
