Ms. Teresa Wright Mullins

It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Ms. Teresa Wright Mullins of Darlington. Ms. Wright passed on Friday evening, July 24, 2020 in a Florence hospital following an illness. 
 

Funeral service is 12:30 on Sunday, August 2, 2020 in Faith Memorial Gardens. Interment will follow. Mask wearing and social distancing is required. 

Obituary

     “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.”

    Ms. Teresa “Resa” Wright was born October 24, 1963 in Darlington, South Carolina the daughter of the late James Heyward Wright and Janie Mumford Wright.  She departed this life on Friday, July 24, 2020 at McLeod Hospice House, Florence, SC.

     She received her formal education in the Darlington County Public School System.

     Survivors left to cherish her memory are:  two sons: James Jermaine (Keshia) Wright and Ja’lin Wright both of Darlington, SC; three sisters: Beverly Wright (Ricky) James, Kimberly Hudson both of Darlington, SC and Hermena (Akbar) Shabazz of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren: Jayla Wright, Jamisen Wright and Jamez Wright; one nephew, Mario (Tiffany) Lucas ; two nieces: Mariscia Wallace and Chriswanda (Bryan) Rayes; adopted sister, Cynthia (Ronald) Jackson of Darlington, SC; one god-brother, Tevin Johnson of Atlanta, GA;  three god-children: Cameron Brown, Tyriah Brown and Shariah Jackson; special friends, Marguerita Ham, Marsha Bruce and Calvin Bruce all of Darlington, SC; seven aunts; one uncle; a host of cousins; other relatives and friends.

  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jada Shavonne Mullins.

Visitation will held at the residence, 207 First Street, Darlington.
