It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. and members of the Damon family announce the passing of Ms. Sheliah E. Damon. Ms. Damon exchanged time for eternity on Sunday, March 03, 2024 at a medical facility in Augusta, Ga. following an illness.

Ms. Sheliah Evonnia Damon was born in Darlington, SC on May 1, 1974 a daughter of Cecilia Damon Boseman and the late George “Duck” Wingate. She quietly entered into her eternal rest on Sunday evening, March 3, 2024 at Doctors Hospital, Augusta, GA after a brief illness.
She received her formal education in the Darlington County Public Schools where she attended Lamar High School and graduating after receiving her GED.
Sheliah was a loving, energetic and caring woman. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory are: her only son, Allen (Laquanda) Damon of Darlington, SC; her loving mother, Cecilia Boseman of Darlington, SC; three sisters: Tysha (Thomas) Powe of Cheraw, SC, Deloris (Karsen) Moorer of Mt. Holly, NC and Vanessa Singletary of Florence, SC; two brothers: Deshawn Wilson of Darlington, SC and Anthony (Nyisha) Wingate of Florence, SC; several aunts and uncles; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; two special friends: Carol Talbert and Laci Mixon; a god-son, Memphis Mixon; her adopted family, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her father, George Wingate and a sister, Georgette Wingate.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the residence, 110 Pepper Drive, Darlington.
