With profound sorrow Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc., and members of the Damon and Love families announce the passing of Ms. Roina Damon Love of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Darlington, SC. Ms. Love transitioned on the evening of Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in Charlotte, NC, surrounded by love.
The family will be receiving friends at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. Edward and Mrs. Elaine Damon, 120 Coker St, Darlington, SC.
Public viewing will be held from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Friday, February 20, 2026, at Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, 612 S Main St, Darlington, SC.
Funeral service will be held 1:30 PM, Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Salvation Temple, 900 Salvation Lane, Hartsville, SC.

Mrs. Roina Damon Love was born December 5, 1949 in Darlington, SC a daughter of the late Eva Mae “Coot” Dolford Damon and Ollie Damon. She departed this life on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Willow Ridge Senior Living in Charlotte, NC.
She received her formal education in the Darlington CountyPublic School System. She worked in dietary services for various organizations. Roina had a passion for cooking, dancing and listening to music.
Those left to cherish her memory are: her daughters: Renee Sanders (Herbert) of Thomasville, NC and Sheneda Love (Juan) of Charlotte, NC; her siblings: Magdalene Damon Brown (Hanser) of Charlotte, NC and Edward Damon (Elaine) of Darlington, SC; her brother-in-law, Terry ”Zeke” Brown; her grandchildren: Taniesha Sanders, Shaquilla Montgomery, Jaciyua Rainey, Tytana Wilson and Kenya Love; her great-grandchildren: Kamauri Alexander, Kingston Love, Cailani Miller, Ava Broom-Love, Jewels Love, Serenity Rainey, Skye Rainey and Savior Rainey; a special nephew, Shon Brown (Renee); two aunts: Dorothy Mae Damon and Helen Damon; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her ex-husband, Willie Love; her son, Jimmy Love; her brother, Lee Ollie Damon; her sister, Mae Ann Brown; and her nephew, Chris Damon.
