Ms. Mae Baldwin

It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Ms. Mae Bladwin of Darlington, SC. Ms. Baldwin passed on Monday, February 13, 2023 in McLeod Hospice House following an illness. 

Funeral service is 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 18, 2023 in Chapel of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow in St. John UMC Cemetery. 

   “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”                                                                                  Revelation 21:4

   Ms. Mae Mack Baldwin was born October 3, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York a daughter of the late Luke and VileanerJones Mack.  She entered into her final resting place on Monday, February 13, 2023 at McLeod Hospice House, Florence, South Carolina.

    She received her formal education in the New York Public School System.

    Mae was a member of St. John United Methodist Church.

   Those left to cherish her memory are:  her eight children:  Thelma Baldwin of the home, Danny (Chanda) Baldwin of New York, Linnette (Obie) Martin of Timmonsville, SC, Robert (Lesia) Baldwin of North Charleston, SC, Leonard Baldwin of Hartsville, SC, Helena Baldwin of New York, Richard Simon, Jr. of Greenville, SC and Lennies  Baldwin of Florence, SC; thirteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; her siblings: Agnes Mack of Pennsylvania, Minda Means of California, Mary Alice Kinard of Chester, SC and Luther Mack of Pennsylvania; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

    She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cellica Elizabeth Martin.
