Ms. Lucesha Renee Hickman

It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. and members of the Hickman share the passing of Ms. Lucesha Hickman of Darlington. Ms. Hickman passed on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. 

Funeral service is 1:00pm on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Center Baptist Church, Reverend Jackie Boyd, officiating. Interment will follow in Hart No. 2 Cemetery. 

     Ms. Lucesha Renee Hickman was born March 15, 1981 in Darlington, SC, a daughter of Thomasena Hickman and Alphonso Coe.  She departed this life on Thursday, May 11, 2023 in Darlington, SC.

     She received her formal education in the Darlington County Public Schools.

     Lucesha always was soft spoken.  She had a quiet spirit and was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She also had such a unique smile on her face; she and Kaiden had such an unbreakable bond.

    She was preceded in death by: her son, Jermiah Jett; her grandson, Kaiden J. Depugh; her maternal grandparents, Thomas & Georgia M. Hickman; her paternal grandfather, William “Doug” Coe.

     Those left to cherish her memories are:  her daughter, Precious Hickman; her grandson, Damari Depugh both of the home; her mother, Thomasena (Woodrow) Brown of Darlington; her father, Alphonso Coe of Timmonsville, SC; a sister, Crystal Pompey of Charlotte, NC; three brothers:  Demorris Hickman of Timmonsville, SC, Prentiss (Chandra) Coe and Tobias Coe; her paternal grandmother, Gladys Coe; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the residence of her mother and stepfather, Thomasena and Woodrow Brown, 2740 Welling Farm Road, Darlington.
