It is with heartfelt condolences that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. and members of the Graham family announces the passing of Ms. Dianne Graham of the Dovesville Community of Darlington County. Ms. Graham passed on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at her residence following a brief illness.
Private funeral services were held at 10:00AM on Saturday, June 11, 2022 in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Interment followed the service.
Obituary
Ms. Diane Graham was born in Darlington, South Carolina on December 20, 1957 a daughter of the late Lonnie Graham, Sr. and Eula Lee Pugh Graham. She departed this earthly life on Wednesday morning, June 8, 2022 at the home.
At an early age, she was baptized and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She received her formal education in the Darlington County Public School and later graduated from Whitney M. Young of Kentucky.
Diane, as she was affectionately called by her sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, spent most of her life in Hapeville, Georgia. She worked on Fort MacPherson Complex and Jetsonic for a number of years in Atlanta, GA. After 42 years, she returned home due to a brief illness. In January, 2021, she rejoined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by: her parents: Lonnie and Eula Lee Graham; her brother/sister-in-law, Lonnie (Patricia) Graham, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory are: her sisters: Ernestine (Willie) Dudley, Mary (Nathan, deceased) Gattison and Robin (David) Lighty; her caretakers/nieces: Whitley Charles and Robyn G. Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; two special friends: Gloria and Bryant both of Georgia.
At the request of the family there will be no visitation at the residence.
