Obituary
Debra Ann Gales was born on August 23, 1961 in Darlington, SC. She departed her earthly life on Monday. November 16, 2020, after an illness. Debra attended school in Lamar, SC. She accepted Christ years ago, and she recently renewed her faith, when she rededicated her life. Debra had several nieces and nephews, many of whom she babysat and kept on weekends and during the summer. Debra never met a stranger. She willingly offered her smile and laughter to all she encountered. Within minutes of being in her presence, one was guaranteed to be blessed with laughter. Debra was surely the life of any family gathering, and her laughter was often heard before you saw her face.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Rosena Samuel of Darlington, SC; two brothers, Heyward Eaddy and Robert (Shirley) Eaddy, both of Darlington, SC; four sisters, Loretta (Harold) Garner, Clarice (Marvin) Ashley of Lorton, Va., Janice (Calvin) Jacobs of Darlington, SC, and Charlene Brown of Rockledge, Fla. Her brother, Herbert Lee Samuel, preceded her in death in 2017.
She will be remembered as a great sister, protective auntie, fun-loving cousin, helpful daughter, and a fun babysitter. She will be greatly missed by so many, including family, friends, and community members.
Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.
