Ms. Carrie Marie Williams

It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Ms. Carrie Marie Williams of Darlington. Ms. Williams passed on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at McLeod Hospital following an illness. 

Funeral service is 2:00pm on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Anointed Outreach Ministries, 1032 N. Governor Williams Hwy, Darlington. 

    Ms. Carrie Marie Williams was born in Darlington, SC on September 12, 1947 a daughter of the late Venrow and Annie Louise Scott Williams.  She entered into her final place on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, SC.

    She received her formal education in the Darlington County Public Schools where she attended Mayo High School.  She was gainfully employed as a Housekeeper.

    At an early age, she attended St. James United Methodist Church in Darlington, SC.

    Carrie was preceded in death by her companion of 28 years, Louis Brown and a sister, Estelle Williams.

   Those left to cherish her memory are:  her two children: Audrey A. (Calvin) Robinson and Levern Paul (Stacey) Williams both of Darlington, SC; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; her brother, Augustus Williams; a nephew, Paul Williams; a niece, Martha Anderson; great nieces and nephew: ChevaniqueWilliams, Metika Williams and D’Mario Sammy Andero; a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the residence, 106 Fleming Street, Darlington.
