Ms. Allean "Tooty" Patterson

It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Ms. Allean Patterson of Darlington, SC. 

Funeral service is 2:00PM on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Mt. Rona Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. 

Obituary

“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.” 

Ms. Allean Patterson was born in Darlington, SC on January 18, 1957, a daughter of the late Henry Patterson, Sr. and the late Flora Lee Wilds Patterson.  She entered into her final resting place on Friday, October 21, 2022 @ 9:21 p.m. at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, SC.

She received her formal education in the Darlington County Public Schools where she attended Rosenwald High School in Society Hill, SC and later attended St. John’s High School in Darlington, SC.

In 1993, she relocated to Myrtle Beach, SC where she was employed at Landmark Resort for 23 years.  She also worked a second job at Ripley’s Aquarium in Myrtle Beach, SC.

At an early age, she was a member of Mt. Rona Missionary Baptist Church in Society Hill, SC.

“Tootie”, as she was affectionately called by family and friends, always had a big smile on her face.  She had a heart of gold and was loved by everyone.

She was preceded in death by: her parents: Henry Patterson, Sr. and Flora Lee Patterson; her brother, Augustine “Boo Boo” Patterson; her nephews: Christopher Patterson and Ryan Patterson.

Those left to cherish her memory are:  her two loving sons, Alexis Lee (Rebecca Ann) Patterson of Conway, SC and Henry Leroy “Poole” Patterson and Myrtle Beach, SC; six grandchildren: Alvonta Green, Jaynequa Singleton, Kaleed Capers, Jamarus Leroy Patterson, Treyquan Henry Patterson and Jariyah Tart; great grandchildren: Amarion James, Harmony Caper, Serinity Caper and Kaleed “KJ” Caper, Jr.; her siblings: Henry (Lorie) Patterson, Jr., Roosevelt Patterson, Jr., Janice Annette Patterson all of Darlington, SC and Thomas (Stephanie) Patterson of Fort Worth, Texas; her sister-in-law, Bessie Mae Joyner Patterson;   two nieces, Latonya Patterson (Landin) Brown and Whitney Patterson;  four nephews: Michael Brockington,  Roosevelt Patterson, Jr., Travis (Rosemary) Patterson, Wesley Patterson and cousins, 4 special friends: Jean Green, Beatrice Brown, Becky Katz and Vicky, other relatives and friends.

Visitation for relatives and friends at 1:00pm to 7:00pm daily at 219 Legacy Way Apt. J, Conway, SC.
