With heartfelt sympathy, Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc., and members of the Hickman and Brown families announce the passing of Mrs. Thomasena Hickman Brown of Darlington, SC. Mrs. Brown transitioned Saturday, July 4, 2026, at MUSC-Charleston after an illness.

The family will be receiving friends daily from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the home, 2151 Bonnie Drive, Florence, SC. 

A public viewing will be held from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc., 612 S Main St, Darlington, SC.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Friday, July 10, 2026, at Center Baptist Church, 3420 N. Sally Hill Rd, Timmonsville, SC. Interment will follow at 1:00 PM at Florence National Cemetery, 803 E. National Cemetery Rd, Florence, SC.
