Mrs. Patricia Ann Robinson Miles

It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. and members of the Robinson family announce the transition of Mrs. Patricia Ann Robinson Miles. “Ann,” as she was affectionately called, heard the Master’s call on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC, following an illness.

Public viewing is 11:00am until 4:00pm on Monday, May 27, 2024 in the chapel of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3208 N. Governor Williams Hwy, Darlington, SC, with Rev. George Washington, officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery. 

Obituary

    Mrs. Patricia “Ann” Robinson Miles was born October 24, 1952, in Darlington, SC, to the late Thomas “Big Boy”Robinson, Sr. and  Sylister Mae “Lit” Lide Robinson. She heard the Master’s call on the morning of Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC, following an illness.

    Ann received her formal education in the Darlington County Public School System, where she attended St. John’s High School. She was employed by Nytronics, Inc., and later, by L’eggs of Hartsville, SC, until her health declined. 

    From an early age, Ann was a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church. She later attended Mt Zion Baptist Church. In 1982, she was united in married to Eugene March, and later, she was united in marriage to the late George Miles. 

    Ann enjoyed the outside and cooking for her family. There was nothing she would not do for them. She also loved shopping – shopping for herself and others. Ann was a people’s person who never met a stranger.

    Those left to cherish Ann’s memory are: her daughters: Lydia Lynette McClain and Corinthia Robinson; her son, Antwan Thompson; her step-mother, Lillie Mae Coe Robinson; her siblings: Ella Mae Williams, Thomasenia Robinson, Thomas (Evelyn) Robinson, Jr., Colonel (Henrietta) Robinson, William Edward (Loretta) Robinson, Sylvester Robinson, Marie R. Thomas, Emma Jane (Larry) Dixion, Martha Ann (Gregg) Charles, Delores Robinson, Beverly Robinson, Vanessa (Carl) Campbell, Calvin M. Robinson, Joyce Anne (Michael) Everett and Richard Coe; eleven grandchildren: Takeeta, Chantwan, Shylin, Shakaira, Danecia, Shamor, Jameson, Nytaesha, Chasity, Martavis and Jayceon; nine great-grandchildren: Kamairia, Zavyon, Christian, Kimiyah, Asia, Ki’Lah, Messiah, Logan and Shakur; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

    Ann was preceded in death in addition to her parents: herpaternal grandparents: Colonel Robinson and Carrie Robinson; her maternal grandparents: Nash Lide, Sr. and Ruth Williams Lide and a grandson, Randolph McClain.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the residence, 316 Edwards Avenue, Darlington, SC.
