It is with profound sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mrs. Martha Ann "Mott" Zimmerman Scott of Lamar, SC. Mrs. Scott expired on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in a Florence medical center.
Funeral service is 2:30pm on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Center Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Hart #2 Cemetery.

Mrs. Martha Ann Zimmerman Scott was born in Darlington, SC on July 9, 1956 a daughter of Abraham James and Thelma Zimmerman. She departed this life on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, SC.
She received her formal education in the Darlington County Public School System where she attended Lamar High School.
At an early age, she attended Center Baptist Church and renewed her membership and attended whenever her health permitted.
“Mott”, as she was affectionately called by family and friends, was a caring and loving person who loved her family. You would know if she was in a room because of her bubbly personality and her joy of being around people. She could make you smile even if you didn’t want to. To know her was to love her.
Those left to cherish her fond memories are: her husband, Claude Scott of the home; her loving and devoted daughter, Sharon Gee Jones of Darlington, SC; a grandson, Jarvis Terrel Gee of the home; her siblings: Mae Frances Rogers, Ronald Mark “Bo Dilly” Zimmerman, Crae Shawn Cooper, Charles James, Abraham (Sharon) James, Jr., Jannie Mae Davis and Lillie Mae (James) Timmons; brothers and sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by: Otis Zimmerman, Diane Fox and Donnie Zimmerman; a brother-in-law, George Rogers.
Visitation for the Scott Family will be held at the residence, 368 Moonlight Drive, Lamar.
