It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. and members of Peters and Eaddy families announce the passing of Mrs. Marilyn Peters Eaddy of Timmonsville, SC. Mrs. Eaddy passed on Thursday, December 21, 2023 in McLeod Hospice House following an illness.
Funeral service is 1:00pm on Thursday, December 28, 2023 in Lawson Grove Baptist Church. Interment will in the Peters Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Marilyn Peters Eaddy was born on November 6, 1955, a daughter of the late James and Wilhelmenia Belvin Peters in Darlington, South Carolina. She gained her eternal rest on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at McLeod Hospice House, Florence, South Carolina following a brief illness.
She received her formal education in the Darlington County School System and was graduated from Lamar High School, Class of 1973. Marilyn furthered her education in Atlanta, Georgia and received an associate degree in medical records.
Marilyn was employed in the medical profession as a medical decoder for thirty plus years of which she retired. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was a member of the Lawson Grove Baptist Church, where she was a former member of the usher board and choir.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Richard Eaddy of Timmonville.
She enjoyed traveling, shopping, looking good, and spending time with family.
Marilyn was a remarkable woman, a dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a beacon of kindness, strength, and unwavering love. Her legacy is etched in the countless lives she touched with her grace and compassion. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.
Mrs. Marilyn Peters Eaddy’s memories will linger forever in the hearts of: her beloved husband, Richard Eaddy of the home; a devoted daughter, Aisha Eaddy of the home; a caring son, Marcus Williams (Beonka Law) of Columbia, SC; her step-son, Richard Wayne Eaddy (Nita Keels) and Kenneth Eaddy (Roberta Dixon) both of Timmonsville, SC; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; her siblings: Consevalla Latney of Latta, SC, Westley (LeNora) Peters, Jamezena Peters (Mark McDaniel) both of Hartsville, SC and Willette Peters of Sumter, SC; a half-brother, Robert Jeffery of High Point, NC; brothers and sisters in-law: Johnny (Betty) McDowell, Henry McDowell, Sophia McDowell all of Timmonsville, SC and Glen McDowell of Charlotte, NC; uncles, Preston (Joyce) Belvin, Sr. of Richmond, VA and Elija Pauley of Hartsville, SC; special friends: Annette Johnson and Julia Davis, both of Darlington, Katrina Thompson of Hartsville, SC, and Stephanie Foreman of Charlotte, NC; host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.
She preceded in death by her parents, James and Wilhelmenia Peters and a son, Michael Bernard Williams, Jr.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be at the residence, 1020 Boone Lane, Timmonsville, SC.
