Mrs. Linda McElveen McDaniel

It is with profound sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home announces the passing of Mrs. Linda McDaniel. Mrs. McDaniel transitioned from labor to reward on Saturday, January 02, 2021 in Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center. 

Funeral service is 2PM on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 in the Church Yard of Christ Temple Holiness Church.  Interment will follow in the Faith Memorial Gardens. 

Obituary

    Mrs. Linda McElveen McDaniel was born April 20, 1948 in Darlington, SC a daughter of the late Robert and Louvenia McElveen.  She gained her wings on Saturday, January 2, 2021 in Carolina Pine Regional Medical Center, Hartsville, SC.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Willy Shaw and her daughter, Sharon.  

    Linda was educated in Darlington County School district. She held a number of jobs that included working for Mcleod Regional Hospital and Darlington County Health Department working with young mothers.  She was a member of Christ Temple Holiness Church for many years until her passing. 

    She is survived by her husband Melvin McDaniel of Darlington SC. Her three daughters: Shelia Shaw of Florence SC, Jennifer Inman of Darlington SC and Felicia Sansbury (Michael Sansbury) of Florence SC; her grandchildren: Shawntega Shaw of Greenville SC, Dorian Shaw of Darlington SC, Eric J. Rose of Florence SC, Joshua (Britney) Inman, Demetrius Sansbury of Florence SC and Zachery Sansbury; her great grandchildren: D.J. Sansbury, Zuri Sansbury, Zana Sansbury, Amir Sansbury, Gabriel Inmanand Triniti Williams.  She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: George (Betty) McElveen, Steve (Rosetta) McElveen, Robbie (Cynthia) McElveen, Almena (Johnny) Moses, Sturvine (John) Kelly,  Viola (Willie) Johnson, Lurie (Johnny) Bruce,  Mary Lee (Otis Lee, deceased), Cathleen Gilmore and Edna (Otis) Nichols.  She is also survived by her nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, there will be no home visitation.
