It is with sorrow that the management and staff and members of the Davis Family announces the passing of their matriarch, Mrs. Gerthena Coker Davis of San Antonio, Texas, formally of Darlington. Mrs. Davis exchanged time for eternity on Saturday, August 19, 2023 in San Antonio, TX.

A wake service is 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Friday, September 1, 2023 in the Chapel of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc.

Funeral service is 11:00AM on Saturday, September 2, 2023 in New Providence Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Cooper Cemetery.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the residence of a son, Sammie Davis, 921 West McIver Road, Darlington.
