It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mrs. Carrie "Ninnie" Scott Pooler of Darlington. Ninnie, as she was affectionately called, transitioned on Friday morning, July 29, 2002 at her residence.
Funeral service is 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation for relatives and friends of Mrs. Carrie Pooler is at the residence, 613 Southern Pines Street, Darlington.

Mrs. Carrie Louise “Ninnie” Scott Pooler was born March 8, 1948 in Darlington, South Carolina a daughter of the late Lonnie Scott, Sr. and Martha Ann Washington Scott. She entered into her eternal resting place on Friday, July 29, 2022 at her residence.
She received her formal education in the Darlington County Public School graduating from Mayo High School Class of 1966.
“Ninnie”, as she was affectionately called, lived all her life in Darlington. She was a loving, caring and giving person and the best babysitter you could ask for. “Ninnie” loved people and could lift your spirit when you were sad.
Those left to cherish her loving memory are: her husband, Truth Pooler; her two daughters: Vanessa (John) Jackson andTracy Mouzon; a granddaughter she raised as her own, Laketa Davis; one grandchild; ten great grandchildren; five siblings: Letha (Duffy) Skinner, Julia Scott Davis, Patricia Damon (her special sister), Lonnie Scott, Jr. all of Darlington, SC and Elliott Scott of New York; a step-sister, Denise Kinney; a special auntie, Floretha Washington; two uncles: Doug McMillian and Jack McMillian; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her sons: Willie Mouzon andWillis Mouzon; a sister, Shirley Jean Scott and a brother Edward Scott.
