Mrs. Carolyn Robinson Frith

It is with sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mrs. Carolyn Robinson Frith of Darlington, SC. Mrs. Frith passed on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at McLeod Regional Medical Center following and illness.

Funeral Service is 11:30am on Monday, May 8, 2023 in Mt. Rona Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Florence National Cemetery. 

Obituary

      Ms. Carolyn Robinson Frith, widow of Calvin Arthur Frith of Mullins, transitioned on Tuesday evening, May 2, 2023 in McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence.  She was born April 7th, 1961in Florence, South Carolina a daughter of the late Garfield Robinson, Sr. and Katie Mae Singletary Robinson

    Ms. Carolyn Frith was an alumnus of Rosenwald High Schoolwith the Class of 1979.  She was employed at Medford Place Nursing Center in Darlington, South Carolina until retiring.  

    Ms. Frith was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.  She had a special love for children and embraced all kids of the community.  Carolyn loved her children and family but considered caring for her grandchildren her greatest privilege and passion.

    Those left to cherish her memory are: her three children: Phillip (Faith) Robinson of Florence, South Carolina, Latosha (William) Powell of Columbia, South Carolina and LaTonya Robinson of Darlington, South Carolina; her three siblings: Minister Garfield Robinson, Jr. of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Linda Ann (Charles) Wright of Darlington, South Carolina and Rosemary Robinson of Florence, South Carolina; her eight grandchildren : Denetric, Jackson, Destiny, Promise, Unity, Neveah, Necolas and Zy’on; several aunts and uncles; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her spouse, Calvin Arthur Frith and her parents: Garfield and Katie Mae Robinson.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the residence, 112 Player Street, Darlington.
