It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mr.Tyrone “Diddy” Brunson of Darlington. Mr. Brunson expired on Monday, October 12, 2020.
Funeral service will be 4:00PM on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Anointed Outreached Ministries, 1032 North Governor Williams Highway, Darlington.

Mr. Tyrone Antonio Brunson was born in Darlington, SC on December 24, 1981 a son of Beatrice Witherspoon Brunson and of the late Claude Brunson. He departed this life on Monday, October12, 2020 in Florence, SC.
He received his formal education in Darlington County Public Schools graduating from Darlington High School.
Tyrone was employed at Clanton Auto, Chesterfield Lumber Company and lastly at Darlington Veneer Company.
“Diddy”, as he was affectionately called, was a loving, kind hearted , hard working person who loved doing things for his fellowman. He had a big heart, especially for his family whereas he was very protected of his family, if you called him, he was there. In his own words, “A gangster and a gentleman!”
Those left to cherish his memory are: his mother, Beatrice (R.D.) Lyde; his siblings: Mary (Leon) Simmons, Rufus Jackson (Ashley Pate), Chris Jackson, Catrina Jackson McClary (Greg McKay), Latoria Brunson (Howard) Hall, Terrance Brunson, Samuel (Lauren) Brunson, David Brunson, Samantha Lyde, Angelia (Danny) Cannon and Herbert Washington. His nephews and nieces: Shawron Simmons, Keisha Wingate, Jessica Jackson, Adrian Jackson, Treyon Harrison, Granesha McKay, Quon Brunson, Terrance Brunson Jr., Keondra Hall, Laquasia Zimmerman, Zion Hall, Samuel Brunson Jr., Emmanuel Brunson, Maliki Brunson, Jaden Brunson, Briana Brunson, Justice Jackson, Tarshalette Cannon, Kenyatta Cannon and LaTanya Walls; other 13 nieces, nephews and cousins; Ebony Reed a close friend; his other close friends: Keith Austin, Edward Agbo, Alvin Agbo, David Ballard, Jamel Walls, James Jackson and Wallace Johnson, other close relatives and friend.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the residence of his mother, Ms. Beatrice Lyde, 405 Wells Street Darlington Apt. E-3.
