Mr. Tylieke "TY" Easterling

It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mr. Tylieke "TY" Easterling of Darlington.  Mr. Easterling passed on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. 

Graveside service is 2:00PM on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in Faith Memorial Gardens. Interment will follow.  Please adhere to mask wearing and social distancing at this service. 

Reflection of Life

     Mr. Tylieke Shakeem Easterling, better known as “Ty’, was born on October 7, 2001 in Florence, SC a son of Sena Bruce Easterling and Teddy G. Easterling.  He departed this life on Wednesday, December 23, 2020.

     He was a former student of Darlington High School where he was an Honor Student.

     He was a faithful member of Kingdom Builder’s Christian Church for a number of years.

     “Ty” was a very humorous, funny, kind person who loved to joke.  He never left your presence without making you laugh or smile.  “Ty” smile was so contagious.  He loved sports, especially basketball.  He also enjoyed music and rapping lyrics. “Ty” will be missed by his family and friends.

     He was preceded in death by: his paternal grandmother, Rebecca Easterling, his maternal grandfather, James Cooley, his maternal great grandmother, Yvonne Alexander; his paternal great grandfather, Boyd Johnson; his great great grandmother, Amy Morrison; his uncle, Ira Easterling and his aunt, Vertie Mae Cherry.

     Those left to cherish his loving memories are:  his mother, Sena Easterling; his father, Teddy Easterling; his three brothers: Symieke Easterling, Malieke Allen and Khalid Easterling; his sister, Wisdom Easterling; his maternal grandmother, Tomasena (Lloyd) Cadle; his maternal grandfather, Larry Bruce; his paternal great grandmother, Lillie Mae Johnson; his uncles: Shelton Bruce, Rev. Leroy (Michelle) Jackson, Jr., Brooks Easterling, Teddy and Andre; his aunts: Tara Jackson, Felisha Easterling, Stephanie, Lashaun, Chauncey, Debbie Sheryl and Terry; a special friend of the family: Erica Hyman and her sons: Omarion & Mekhi; a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

    He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
