It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mr. Tony Jett of Darlington. Mr Jett passed on Sunday, September 19, 2021 in a Hartsville hospital.
Funeral service is 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in Faith Memorial Gardens. Interment will follow. Please adhere to mask wearing and social distancing while attending this service.

Mr. Tony Jett was born in Darlington, South Carolina on June 25, 1972 a son of Thomasena Jett and the late John Dudley. The late Marvin Swinton He departed this life on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Carolina Pine Regional Medical Center, Hartsville, SC.
He received his formal education in the Darlington County Public School System graduating from St. John’s High School Class of 1990.
Tony worked various jobs in Darlington and Florence Counties and to name a few: Amana and Dupont. Before his demise, he was employed at Fiber Industries as a Pack Builder. He kept the line running and loved being a part of this company.
Tony loved working in the yards and playing with his grandchildren. He was a huge fan of the Washington Redskins Football team. If you knew tony you knew he would help anyone out; strangers or friends. My soulmate is with God and I will see him again!
He was united in marriage to Mary McFarland Jett.
Those left to cherish his memories are: his mother, Thomasena Jett; his wife, Mary M. Jett; his three children: Shebria A. Jett (Sachina), Antonious Nesmith (Tiffany Gamble) and Jaques Wright; his grandchildren: Tavarious Nesmith, Kaleb Nesmith, Keegan Nesmith, Lysa Gamble; an adopted grandson, Tyzir Pooler; his sisters: Caress Jett (Fulton), Shawanda Tedder, Katrice (Otis) Keith; his brothers: Melvin Jackson and Shawn Tedder; a special nephew, Carston Easterling; Special uncles: Robert Jett (Jenny), Willie Dudley (Ernestine), Troy Dudley (Annie), John Ervin Dudley, Robert Dudley and Jessie Dudley; his aunts: Bettie Walton, Catherine Dudley and Ernestine Ross (James); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; his brothers-in-law: Joe McFarland (Janice), Calvin McFarland (Mae Helen), Shawn McFarland (Antronette), James McFarland, Lamont McFarland (Mary) and Keshawn McFarland; his special friends: Maze Mingo, Kalvin Boston, Keith Johnson, William McFarland, Richard Cotton, Nelson Jackson and Marlowe Forte.
