It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. and members of the Jackson family announces the passing of Mr. Tommy Lee Jackson of Darlington, SC. Jackson, as he was affectionately called, passed on Friday evening, April 29, 2022 following a sudden illness.
Funeral service is 3:00pm on Saturday, May 7, 2022 in Centerville AME Cemetery. Interment will follow.

Mr. Tommy Lee Jackson was born April 14th, 1968, in Darlington, SC the son of Jessie Ann Washington Jackson and the late Louis Jackson. Tommy peacefully departed this life on Friday, April 29th, 2022 in McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, SC.
Tommy received his formal education in the Darlington County Public Schools where he attended St. John’s High School. He worked at Canfor in Darlington, SC for 15 years.There he made many close friends; Timothy Gregg, ItazierGilbert and Willie Sydnor. Tommy was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Tommy was a very outgoing person, he loved to laugh, joke, entertain and would always make his presence known. To know him was to love him. He placed smiles upon many faces.
Those left to cherish his memories are: his wife, Yolanda H. Jackson, his mother, Jessie Ann Jackson of Darlington, SC; two loving daughters: Natori (Lorenzo) Roary of Darlington, SC and Shantel (Henry) Jordan of Lynchburg, Virginia; two step-daughters: Lavaughnda Travis and Jessica Travis; six grandchildren; four siblings: Jesstine Jackson of Darlington, SC, Suzanne Jackson of Columbia, SC, Louis (Candice) Jackson of Dovesville, SC and Roger (Kathy) Jackson of Darlington, SC; ahost of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
At the request of the family, there is no visitation held at the residence.
