It is with sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mr. Michael Suber of Darlington. Mr. Suber transitioned on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 in McLeod Hospice House following an illness.
Funeral service will be 12 Noon on Saturday, September 26, 2020 in the Chapel of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc.

Mr. Michael Ransom Suber was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 22, 1961 a son of Alphonso Suber and the late Margie Wilds Holt. He entered into his final resting place on Tuesday morning, September 22, 2020 at McLeod Hospice House, Florence, SC.
He received his formal education in the Darlington County Public Schools graduating from Mayo High School Class of 1979. While in high school, he played football (line backer) and baseball.
Michael was a man of all trades: carpenter, electrician, he had a great love for the kitchen, he was a comedian and the “Cool” of the party. He was gainfully employed lastly at Palmetto Auction in Darlington.
He was united in married to Elease Suber and to this union they were blessed with three sons.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Wilds Holt and a brother, Richard Melton.
Those left to cherish his memory are: his father, Alphonso Suber of Pembroke Pines, Florida; three sons: Michael Durell Suber, Francois “Mookie” Suber both of Darlington, SC and Avery Edwards of Rock Hill, SC; two grandchildren: Kylin Suber and Averi Edwards; his uncle, Ronald (Rosemary) Wilds; a step-sister, Kathy Rentas of West Palm Beach, FL; a nephew, Onassiss Melton; cousins: Rhonda Wilds, Matthew Suber, Shironda Thomas, Bryant Suber and Veronica Suber; a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitations for relatives and friends will be held at the residence of a cousin, Matthew Suber, 211 Chestnut Street, Darlington.
