It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mr. Michael Bernard Williams, Jr. Mr. Williams passed on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. 

Funeral service is 12 Noon on Saturday, August 20, 2022 in Peters Cemetery (Lawson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery) Interment will follow.

Obituary

    “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.” 

      Mr. Michael Bernard Williams, Jr. was born in Washington, DC on June 25, 1982 a son of Marilyn Peters Eaddy and the late Michael Bernard Williams, Sr.  He departed this life on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, Hartsville, SC.

     He received his formal education in the Darlington County Public Schools graduating from Lamar High School Class of 2001. 

      At an early age, he attended Lawson Grove Baptist Church.

     After moving to Columbia, SC and later to North Carolina, he finally returned home to Hartsville, SC.  He was gainfully employed at Sonics where he was a manager and lastly, he was employed at Kick Back Jack in Aberdene, NC.

      “Biggie”, as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was a good father, a faithful son and sibling who was a hard worker.  He was known for his beautiful smile and he was loved by all who knew and loved him.

     Those left to cherish his memory are:  his mother and step-father, Marilyn (Richard) Eaddy of Timmonsville, SC; his two children: Makayla Williams and Khalib Williams both of Lamar, SC; his siblings:  Marcus Williams of Columbia, SC and Aisha Eaddy of Timmonsville, SC; his step-brothers: Richard Wayne Eaddy of Florence, SC and Kenneth (Roberta Dixon) Eaddy of Timmonsville, SC; his step-mother, Marcie Balow of Florida; a niece, Andraya Williams of Columbia, SC; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
