It is with sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc., and members of Williams family announce the passing of Mr. Less Jackson Williams of Darlington. Mr. Williams passed on Friday, July 12, 2024, at his residence following an illness.
A Memorial Service will be 10:00am on Friday, July 19, 2024, at the Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home Chapel.
There will be no visitation for Mr. Less Williams.
Life’s Reflection
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” ~Revelation 21:4
Mr. Less Jackson Williams was born in Darlington, SC, a son of the late Punch Jackson and Bertha Mae Williams on February 19, 1954. He expired on Friday, July 12, 2024 at his residence. “Buster” as he was affectionately call attended the Darlington County Public Schools and was a graduated of Mayo High School, Class of 1974. After high school, Less moved to California and became a correction officer for a California prison. He was married to Berneatha Williams of California. “Buster” was an easy-going person and enjoyed hanging out with his many associates from the Darlington area.
Less leaves to cherish his memory: his only brother, Leroy Williams of Darlington; a niece, Lakeisha Williams of Santa Ana, CA; cousins, relatives, and friends who regret his passing.
