Mr. Leroy Agnelton Muldrow was born April 10, 1941 in Darlington, South Carolina, the son of the late Lauvenia Muldrow Abraham and Ken Rhodes. He went home to glory on Monday, October 21, 2019 at his residence, Florence, South Carolina.

He attended Darlington Schools and graduated from Butler High School in 1959.  A gifted student and athlete, he excelled in his favorite sport - baseball.

In 1962, Billy, as he was affectionately known, followed his true love, Virginia Coker, and relocated to Brooklyn, New York.  They married on January 18, 1963 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, and their union was blessed with three daughters.

After moving back to South Carolina in 1976, Billy began working at Raytex in Marion, SC. He later worked at Magnolia Mall and became the proud owner of “Billy’s Cleaning Service.”

Baptized as a young man at Cherry Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Billy was a faithful and active member at Cherry Grove for over 30 years and served as a trustee, purchasing manager and audio technician.

In addition to his church service, Billy proudly served as: Past Master of the Friendship Masonic Lodge #17, member of EB Burroughs Royal Arch #49, Alpha Omega #7 Order of Knights Templar and Past Commander in Chief of Pee Dee Consistory and Crescent Temple #148.

Throughout the years, he enjoyed devoting his time to his favorite passions: bowling and baseball. He served as  the manager and coach of the winning Darlington Blazer baseball team and participated on several bowling leagues, one in which he partnered with his loving wife, Virginia.

Known as “Pa-Pa” by his five grandchildren, Pa-Pa loved spending time with his beloved grandchildren and imparting life lessons. The family is grateful for the many words of wisdom he bestowed and will cherish them always.

“Billy/Pa-Pa” was preceded in death by his mother Lauvenia Abraham and his “brother-cousin,” George Muldrow.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Virginia Muldrow, his four children: Ronald Brockington, Janet (Michael) Lucas, Stephanie Muldrow, and Tanya (Reggie) Richardson; five grandchildren: O’Brian, Michael Jr., Coker, Mackenzie and Maya; two brothers: Troy (Susan) Abraham and Colon (Mary) Abraham; one uncle, June Muldrow; loving sisters-in-law: Rudean Gerald, Nannie Calvin, Lamona Nettles, Charliemae Davis, Wadiya Basir, Judith Smith, Josephine Rodwell and Genoria McGibbony , a brother-n-law, Grover (Rita) Coker, Jr.; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
