Mr. Kenneth Robinson

With heartfelt sympathy, Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc., and members of the Robinson family announce the passing of Mr. Kenneth Robinson of Florence, SC. Mr. Robinson transitioned Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at MUSC Florence, Florence, SC.

Public viewing will be held 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc., 612 S Main St, Darlington, SC.

Funeral service will be held 12:00 PM, Monday, June 8, 2026, at Flat Creek Baptist Church, 1369 Society Hill Rd, Darlington, SC. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Obituary

     “For now I am ready to be offered and the time of my departure is at hand.  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith, henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.”                        II Timothy 4:6-8

     Mr. Kenneth Robinson was born in Darlington, South Carolina on October 12, 1964, a son of the late Joseph and Catherine Williams Robinson.  He quietly entered his final resting place on Tuesday morning, June 2, 2026 at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center, Florence, SC.

     He attended Darlington County Public Schools and graduated from St. John's High School Class of 1983.   Mr. Robinson was a former employee with Griffin Painting until his health decline.  

     He was united in marriage to Linda Johnson Robinson.

     He was preceded in death by:  a brother, Robert Robinson; a sister, Marilyn Robinson; two sisters-in-law: Emma Brown and Modestine Dubose; two brothers-in-law: John Johnson and Isaac Dixon; and his mother and father-in-law:  Willie Lee Douglas and Andrew Douglas.

     Mr. Robinson was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.  To know him was to love him.  He loved his family and always had good spirits about him.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

     Those who shared the joys of life with him and survive to cherish his memory are:  his loving wife, Linda Robinson; his sons:  Kenneth Robinson, Jr., Najawan Robinson and Kamenn Robinson; grandchildren: Kennasia Robinsin, Keniyah Robinson, Kingston Robinson, Khristian Lunnn and Bella Lunn; his siblings:  Flouncey (Samuel) Dixon, Laretta Dixon, James (Eliza) Robinson, Richard Robinson, David Robinson, Annie Mae Joint, Anthony (Rosa) Robinson, Imogene (William) Glover;  sisters-in-law, Mary Robinson, Lillie (Jerry) Damon, Betty (Rodney) Johnson, JoAnn (Mike) Rogers, Moretta (Tenyonde) Richardson, Sonia Douglas, Mary Patterson, Beatrice Jacobs, Cynthia Douglas and Carolyn Johnson; brothers-in-law:  Jerome Johnson and Jerry (Elise) Johnson; aunts:  Ruth Baker, Betty Robinson and Lucy Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who regrets his passing.
