Mr. Keith Rashadd Rouse

With heartfelt sympathy, the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc., and members of the Rouse and McElveen families announce the passing of Mr. Keith Rashadd Rouse of Lynchburg, SC. Mr. Rouse transitioned on the evening of Saturday, August 16, 2025.

Visitation for the family will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00  daily at the residences, 626 Bay Branch Road, Lamar, SC, and 112 McClain St, Lamar, SC. 

Public viewing will be Friday, August 22, 2025, from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc., 612 S Main St, Darlington, SC.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Spaulding Middle School, 400 Cartersville Hwy, Lamar, SC. Interment will follow in Plaza Memorial Cemetery, Plaza Rd, Lamar, SC.

Obituary

     Mr. Keith Rashadd Rouse was born October 4, 1989 in Florence, South Carolina a son of the late Robert Durant and Cynthia Holmes.  He entered into his final rest Saturday, August 16, 2025 at McLeod Regional Medical Center.

      He received his formal education in the Darlington County Public Schools where he attended Lamar High School.  

     Keith was employed by Pilgrims Pride, Sumter, SC as a Line Worker until he became disabled.

    He was a member of Powerhouse Faith Ministries, Lamar, SC under the leadership of Pastor Tamara Durant.

    “Nunk Nunk”, as he was affectionately called family and friends, was an attentive father who loved his children: Keivona and Kingston.  He also loved his family and friends. Keith was a loyal, friendly, loving to the people who loved him, a comedian who was filled with laughter.  His favorite football team was The Washington Commanders. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

    Those left to cherish his memory are:  his long term partner, Julisa Rouse; his two children: Keivona Rouse and Kingston Rouse; his siblings:  Michelle (Brian) McElveen, Carolyn Rouse (Marquise), Michael Levern (Tiquesha) Rouse, II, Lamont (Tasha) Rouse, Eric Rouse, Chad Rouse, Sr., Danielle Rouse, Cassandra (Herbert) Miller, Lavanda Miller and Stephon Maples; his step-father,  Michael (Ernestine) Rouse, Sr.; his aunts and uncles:  Rev. Dr. Freddie Mae (Drayfus, deceased) Rouse Anderson, Minister Marie Rouse (Booker, deceased) Phillips, George (Rovenia) Rouse, Harry Rouse, Dr. Philiphia Rouse (Sidney) Minor, Emma Kennedy, Linda Rouse, Jacquline (Calvin) Bowman, Alisha (Randell) Ellison, Chris (Janice) Holmes, Rosa Durant, Rosa Blathers, Katina Durant, James Durant and Margie Shaw; a special friend, Jamie Pringle; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

      He was preceded in death by:  maternal grandparents:  David and Fannie Bradford; paternal grandparents: James “Bubba” Rouse and Lula Mae Anderson Rouse; his paternal grandparents, Sam and Louvenia Durant; his uncle, Jasper Holmes, Herbert Durant, Monk Durant; a close cousin, Christal Anderson Paramore; an aunt, Sammie Bell Durant.
