It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mr. Jonas T. Cottingham of Atlanta, Georgia, formally of Darlington, SC. Mr. Cottingham transitioned on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 in Atlanta, GA.

Jonas was the son of Gloria Cottingham Bennett and the late Donald DuBose. Jonas was a graduate of Mayo High School for Math, Science, and Technology, Class of 2005. He did further studies at the University of South Carolina and graduate studies in Tennessee. He received a bachelors and masters degree from respective universities. He was a social worker and counselor in Atlanta.

A private service was held by the family on Sunday, February 23, 2020. No further services will be held.
