Mr. Jimmy Ham

It is with sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. and members of the Ham family share the passing of Mr. Jimmy Ham of Moncks Corner, SC, formally of Darlington, SC.  Mr. Ham passed on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Trident Medical Center, Charleston following an illness. 

Funeral service is 11:00AM on Friday, April 1, 2022 in Hart No. 2 Cemetery. Interment will follow. Please adhere to social distancing and mask wearing for this service. 

Obituary

         “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.” 

       Mr. Jimmy Eugene Tyrone Ham was born in Darlington, SC on July 26, 1965, a son of Wilma Ross Ham and the late Theodore Ham, III.   On March 26, 2022 he departed this life at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, SC at 18:53 p.m.

     Jimmy received his formal education through the public school system.  He was employed as a chef at Tippecanoe Place before his health decline.

      Jimmy was preceded in death by: his father, Theodore Ham III; his maternal grandparents: Sandy (Bud) Ross, Jr. and Mildred Ross; his paternal grandparents: Theodore “Junius” Ham, Jr. and Eva Mae Ham.

      Those left to cherish his memories: his mother and step-dad, Wilma (Thales) Newsome of Moncks Corner, SC; his children: Tyrone Ham of Atlanta, GA and Danielle (Sharon) Washington of Florence, SC; two sisters: Penny (Douglas) Reid of Atlanta, GA and Finta Ham of Florence, SC; two brothers: Timothy (Vonita) Ham of Rock Hill, SC and Craig Addison of Florence, SC; four grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.
