Mr. Jarian La'Var “Big Worm” Wilson, Sr.

It is with heartfelt sorrow that management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. and members of the Wilson family announce the untimely passing of Mr. Jarian La'Var Wilson, Sr., affectionately known as “Big Worm”. Mr. Wilson passed on Thursday, December 08, 2022 at McLeod Hospital following a sudden illness. 

Funeral Service is 11:00AM on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 in Faith Memorial Gardens. Interment will follow.

Mr. Jarian La’Var Wilson, Sr. was born December 9, 1980, the son of Willie Wilson Vereen and Larry Ratliff. He entered into his final resting place on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, SC.

He received his formal education in the Darlington County School System, where he received his GED.

“Big Worm” as he was affectionately called by family and friends was a loving son, husband, father, brother, and family member. He worked various jobs throughout Florence and Darlington Counties; however, most of his gainful employment experience was with the Blue Beacon Truck Wash, Florence, SC.

Those surviving to cherish the memory and maintain the legacy of Jarian include: his loving wife, Sharron Campbell Wilson, of the home; children: Talaila Wilson, TaMiya Wilson, and Jarian Wilson, Jr., all of the home; his loving mother, Willie (Anthony Hall) Vereen of Florence, SC; father, Larry (Brenda) Ratliff of North Carolina; four sisters, Kimberly Polk, Shalaria Rivers, Kisha Maske all of North Carolina, and Tiffany Ratliff of Darlington, SC; two brothers, Jamie (Caderdra) Ratliff and Larry (Brenda) Walls, both of North Carolina; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at 705 Wire Road, Darlington.
