It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mr. James Bishop of Darlington. Mr. Bishop passed on Saturday, November 6, 2021 in Darlington, SC.
Funeral service is 12 Noon on Sunday, November 14, 2021 in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Interment will follow. Please adhere to mask wearing and social distancing for this service.
There will only be PRIVATE Viewing for Mr. Bishop. No Public viewing as requested by the family.
Obituary
Mr. James Lamont Bishop, son of LaSheba Bishop Frank and James Love was born September 12, 2001 in Florence, SC. He departed this world on Saturday, November 6, 2021.
He received his formal education in Darlington County Public School and received his Welding Certificate from Florence-Darlington Technical College.
James loved playing sports: football, basketball and baseball. He was a big Green Bay Packer’s fan. His presence shall forever be missed by those who loves him.
Those left to cherish loving memory are: his parents: LaSheba (Christopher) Frank and James Love; his grandparents: Rector Bishop and Gloria Bishop; his brother: Tyrin Bishop; his sisters: Shame Bishop, Jaquetta Simms; his step brothers: Davon Patterson, Daveon Patterson, Joshua Patterson and Quame’ Burgess; special brothers and sisters: Cathy McCrea, Jailen Frierson, Freddy Bennett, DonQuez Williams, Theophilus Bishop, Fannie Bennett, Phyleah Bennett and Ashton Bennett; his aunts: Tabitha Love, Patricia Love and Ashley Bishop; his uncles: Omar Bishop and Lorenzo Love; his nieces: Shamarielle Ervin, Faye Bennett and Kinsley Taylor; his nephews: Tayon Boatwright and Freddy Bennett, Jr.; a host of cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his grandparents: Lillie Mae Love and General Jim Sharper; an uncle, Dwayne Gainey.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the residence, 117 Bishop Drive, Dovesville Community, Darlington.
