Mr. Herbert "BoPete" Boston, Jr.

It is wit profound sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mr. Herbert "BoPete" Boston, Jr. of Darlington.  Mr. Boston expired on Friday, August 2, 2019 at his residence.  

Funeral service is 12 Noon on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Glorious Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. Burial will follow in Garden of Rest Cemetery.  

                                                                    ~Obituary~

Mr. Herbert Boston, Jr., affectionately known as, “BoPete”, was born October 24, 1956 in Baltimore, Maryland a son of Geneva Nettles Boston and the late Herbert Boston, Sr.  He entered into his eternal rest on Friday, August 2, 2019 at his residence.

He received his former education in the public schools of Baltimore, MD.  He furthered his education at Florence-Darlington Technical College.  He was employed at A. O. Smith in McBee until his retirement.

He leaves to cherish his memory:  his mother, Geneva Boston of the home; three sisters: Angela (Frankie) Fletcher, Jerline Boston and Sarah Keys all of Baltimore, MD; two nieces: Lerelle and April; a special nephew, Sean Smith of the home; five nephews: Theron, James, Keith, Brian and Anthony; two uncles: Columbus Nettles of Baltimore, MD and Wilson Nettles of Darlington, SC; an aunt, Mabelle Nettles of Baltimore, MD; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Boston, Sr.; two brothers: James Nettles and Gregory Boston and a niece, Breanna Boston.

Visitation will be held at the residence, 543 Oleander Drive, Darlington.
