Mr. Frank Coefield

It is with deepest sympathy that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the sudden passing of Mr. Frank Coefield of Darlington. 

Celebration of Life will be 1:00pm on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 in Faith Memorial Gardens. Interment will follow. 

Public viewing will be from 2:00pm - 7:00pm on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 in the Chapel of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. 

The Obituary

Our hearts are deeply saddened by the passing of our loved one, but we know that all things work together for good to them that love God. We must not grieve at losing him, but thank God for the time shared with him. Today, we pause to pay tribute and join in the home going celebration of Frank Coefield.

Frank Coefield, departed life on Thursday, November 19, 2020.

Frank Coefield was born on May 23, 1948 in Darlington County, SC to the late Mr. Leroy & Mrs Jessie Mae Coefield. He was educated and graduated from Mayo High School, Darlington, SC in 1969. Frank Coefield was well known for helping his elderly neighbors and others in his community.

Frank was joined in holy matrimony to Roberta Roberson and to this union two sons was born. This union had over49 years of love. Frank was employed at Fiber Industries for35 years as a Supervisor. Frank was a hard worker and was loved by many. He will truly be missed by his co-workers. Frank loves doing yard work and watching sports and his favorite NFL team is the Seattle Seahawks.

In addition to his parents and grandparents he was preceded in death by his two brothers and two sisters.

His legacy will live on in the hearts of his love ones: his lovely wife, Roberta Coefield Darlington, SC.; two sons: Franklin {Regina} Coefield, Anthony (Angela} Coefield both of Darlington, SC; two special grandson that he reared as his own: Jonathon Gregg and {Lil Frank} Coefield both of Darlington, SC ; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; his father and mother in-law: Robert{Rosa} Roberson Sr; three brother in-law: John(Maria) Roberson, Thomas {Cheryl) Roberson and Charles {Orrie} Roberson; a very close friend, Demitri Lunn, who he also considered as his son. A host of nieces, nephew and other relatives.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the residence, 520 Chestnut Street, Darlington.
