It is with profound sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mr. Eddie "Bo" Jacobs of Baltimore, Marylard, formerly of Darlington. Mr. Jacobs expired on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 in Baltimore, MD.
Funeral service is 2:00PM on Friday, September 25, 2020 in the Cemetery of Lawson Grove Baptist Church. Interment will be followed.
Obituary
Mr. Eddie Jacobs was born on May 8, 1946 in Darlington, South Carolina a son of the late Harry Wilds and Rosetta Jacobs James both of South Carolina. He departed this life on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 in a Medical facility in Baltimore County, Maryland.
He received his formal education in the Darlington County Public School System.
At an early age, he relocated to Baltimore, Maryland. Shortly afterwards, In 1967, he married the love of his life, Lillie Isaac Jacobs.
Eddie was employed at the Matricianni Construction Company as a Construction Worker for 40 years until he retired.
“Bo”, as he was affectionately known, was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be missed by his family and friends who dearly loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory are: his devoted wife, Lillie Jacobs of Baltimore, Maryland; three children: Eddie (Dhana) Jacobs, Jr., Hope Jacobs and Darick Jacobs all of Baltimore, Maryland; five grandchildren: Deja, Kiashea Michaela, Jenaiya and Jaylon all of Baltimore, Maryland; seven sisters: Jessie James, Rosa J. (Edgar) Wallace, Mae (Donald) Terry, Willistine James, Bobbie (Joseph) Williamson, Marsha (Maurice) Sheppard all of Darlington, South Carolina and Gloria McPhail of Hartsville, South Carolina; one brother, Fronza (Diane) James of Darlington, South Carolina; a brother-in-law, Larry Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by: three brothers: John D. James, Robert James, Jr. and Ernest Jacobs.
Visitation for relatives and friends will held at the residence of a sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie and Joseph (Country) Williamson, 906 Catherine Street, Darlington.
