Deontez was a good kid with a good heart. I was the chaplain at MEC when he was there. He never got in trouble, was always laughing, always smiling, and encouraging the other boys. He attended all of the character-building classes I taught and really did his best to grow and improve. When I remember him, I remember his big smile. His smile was a window to his heart. May God watch over his family and those he was closest to during this difficult time. My prayers are with all of you. --Chaplain Dan
