Funeral service is 11:00AM on Saturday, March 5, 2022 in Tabernacle Worship Center. Interment will follow in Faith Memorial Gardens. Please wear a mask for this service.

Mr. Corey Lamont Edwards entered peacefully into his final resting place on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at his residence. Corey was born in New Haven, Connecticut on July 31, 1974 a son of the late Linda Reynolds Edwards and Gerald V. Edwards.
“Lamont” attended the Darlington County Public Schools and graduated from St. John’s High School Class of 1992. After graduating, he attended Florence-Darlington Technical College where he received his Associate in Science and Arts Degrees. He furthered his education by attending Francis Marion University and graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He attended Life University in Atlanta, Georgia.
At an early age, he always had a passion for sports. Especially football. He played Little League Football and Baseball. He went on to play football in Junior High and High School with the St. John Blue Devils. He became an avid lover for the DALLAS COWBOYS and Los Angeles Lakers at an early age. He was also an avid lover for television and movies.
“Lamont” was very family oriented and his family and friends knew how much he cared because he would often let them know how much he loved them. He will be missed by his family and friends.
He leaves to mourn his passing: his fiancé, Veronica Carraway of the home; a brother, Gerald (LaTosha) Edwards of Quinby, SC; two nieces, Zadia Davis and Courtney Edwards; four nephews: Jaquan Edwards, Kion Edwards, Naseem Edwards and Noah Edwards; two great nephews: Jakai Edwards and Nycier Edwards; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the residence, 525 Precious Lane (off of Blue Street), Darlington.
