Mr. Clifford James Smith

It is with profound sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mr. Clifford James Smith of Society Hill, SC. Mr. Smith expired on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at his residence. 

Funeral service is 12 Noon on Friday, February 10, 2023 in Mt. Rona Baptist Church Cemetery. Interment will follow. 

Mr. Clifford James Smith departed at the age of 66 on Thursday, February 2, 2023.

Clifford James Smith the first child of Clifford J. Parker and Jessie P Taylor born New York, NY on February 7th, 1956.

Clifford received his formal education at Rosenwald High School in Society Hill, SC.

Clifford loved hunting and fishing it was his passion.

He leaves to cherish his memories His son, Tyrese Jones of Darlington, SC, and granddaughter Sha’Niya Jones of Darlington, SC.

Timothy (Jada) Smith (North Carolina), Antoinette Parker (New York), The late Gregory Parker (South Carolina), Tom Taylor III (New York)

A Special Cousin whom Clifford always referred to as his “niece” Stacey McCall of Columbia, SC along with her sister Yashica “Sheila” McCall. Special cousins whom he was reared Sammie J. (Tommie) McCall.  

Ralphenia Smith (New York) affectionally known as “Aunt Ralph” has a special place in his heart.

A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, that loved him dearly and will always remember him.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held Thursday, February 9th, 2023, at Mitchell Josey Funeral Home, Darlington, SC from 4pm-6pm.
