Mr. Charlie "Scab/Chicken" Williamson, Jr.

With heartfelt sympathy, the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc., and members of the Williamson family announce the passing of Mr. Charlie "Scab/Chicken" Williamson, Jr. of Darlington, SC. Mr. Williamson transitioned Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Heritage Home of Florence, Florence, SC, after an illness. 

Visitation with family and friends will be held at the residence of a brother and sister-in-law, Emanuel "Buck" and Cora Williamson, 1529 Elissa Drive, Darlington, SC.

Public viewing will be 12:00-4:00 PM, Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, 612 S Main St, Darlington, SC.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Flat Creek Baptist Church, Society Hill Rd, Darlington, SC. Interment will follow in the Graham Family Cemetery, off Elissa Drive, Darlington, SC.

Obituary

    On Tuesday, June 18th, 2025 at Heritage Nursing Home, Florence, SC, Charlie "Chicken" Williamson, Jr. entered into his eternal rest.

    Charlie "Chicken" Williamson, Jr. was born November 2nd, 1953 in Darlington, South Carolina a son of the late Ethel L Graham and Charlie Sylvester Williamson, Sr. 

    He received his education through the Darlington County Education System. Through his education and skills, he worked in the construction industry for various companies including Williamson Home Improvement.

    At an early age, Chicken joined Flat Creek Baptist Church."Chicken" was a member at Flat Creek until he entered eternal rest.

    He was joined in holy matrimony to the late Crystal "June" Williamson of which this union was blessed with a step-daughter and grandchildren.

    Those left to treasure Charlie "Chicken" Williamson, Jr.'s memory are: three siblings: Emanuel (Cora) Williamson, Allen Dolford both of Darlington, SC and Mary Williamson of Winston-Salem, NC; a special niece, Saundra Graham and her children: AJ Gandy, Ja'Aron Gandy and a special cousin: Evelyn Wilson Canty; nephews: Harold (Diana) Williamson, Calvin (Shadora) Williamson, Michael (Connie) Goodson; nieces, Felicia Coefield, Jada (Kobe) Green and Jayla Green; uncles:Solomon James (Lee) Williamson, Walter (Lizzie) Williamson; aunts, Lottie (Robert) Tedder, Lugenia Williamson; along with a host of other nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends.

    Charlie "Chicken" Williamson, Jr., was preceded in death by: his grandmother; Sarah L. Graham; mother, Ethel L. Graham;father, Charlie Williamson, Sr.; sister, Mary Agnes Graham-Woods; wife, Crystal J. Williamson and one nephew.
