It is with sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mr. Charles "Super Charles" Evans of Darlington. Mr. Evans passed on Friday, November 04, 2022 in a Florence hospital following a sudden illness.
Funeral service is 1:00PM on Thursday, November 10, 2022 in the Chapel of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home with Bishop Wesley Belin, officiating.

Mr. Charles Lindbergh Evans was born June 8, 1949 in Darlington, South Carolina, a son of the late O. C. Evans and Emma Leonard. He departed this life on Friday, November 4, 2022 at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, SC.
He received his formal education in the Darlington County Public School System graduating from Mayo High School Class of 1968.
“Super Charles”, as he was called by family and friends, was a quiet easy going person who got along with everyone. He worked a few years at Daniel Construction Company but because of his handicap, Charles would work odd jobs and was really happy in what he could do. His family and friends will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by: his parents: O. C. and Emma Evans; his siblings: Lemack Evans and Patricia Evans Rouse.
Those left to cherish his memory are: his three nephews: Kevin (Michelle) Joseph of Darlington, SC, Timothy (Anya F. Jones) Joseph of Columbia, SC and Branican (Myeshia) Rouse of Rock Hill, SC; his niece: Shaunna (Hezikiah) Kelly of Darlington, SC; several grandnieces and nephews; his best friends: Donald Williams, Matthew Bell and Willie “Lump-Lump” Thompson; several cousins, other relatives and friends.
