Mr. Bryant Jermaine Singletary

It is with heartfelt condolences that the management and staff of Mitchell- Josey Funeral Home announces the passing of Mr. Bryant Singletary. Mr. Singletary passed on Friday, September 24, 2021 in a Hartsville hospital. 

Funeral service is 2:00PM on Thursday, September 30, 2021 in Mt. Rona Baptist Church Cemetery. Interment will follow. Please adhere to mask wearing and social distancing for this service.

Obituary

Mr. Bryant Jermaine Singletary was born April 19, 1978 in Darlington, South Carolina,  a son of the late Josephine Singletary Boyce.  He entered his final resting place on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, Hartsville, South Carolina. 

He received his formal education in the Darlington County Public Schools System, graduating from Darlington High School, Class of 1996.

At an early age, he attended Mt. Rona Missionary Baptist Church. 

He was employed at Yahnis as a driver until his recent death. 

Bryant was a loving son, father, brother, fiancé, nephew and friend. Bryant had a passion for basketball, fishing and cartoons. He was very generous at helping people throughout the community. He coached youth basketball for the recreation department and was known for his streetball skills where he would play in Florence and Darlington. Bryant was known for helping friends and people with a place to stay and often would ask his mother to let them live with the family until they was straight. 

Those left to cherish his memories are: his sisters, Corinthian Singletary of Columbia, SC and Laine (Eric) Brown of Darlington, SC;  his children: Brittany Brown of Darlington, SC, Naderrick Williams of New York, Keira Singletary of the home and Diashauede “DJ” Joint of Darlington, SC; his fiancé, Lisa Rouse of the home.  Bryant also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Visitation is held at the residence, 108 Coker Street, Darlington.
