It is with heartfelt sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mr. Alexander "Alex" Zimmon of Texas, formally of Darlington, SC. Mr. Zimmon passed suddenly on Thursday, July 13, 2023 in Texas.
Memorial Service is 1:00pm on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Center Baptist Church.
A King Is Born:
Mr. Alexander Angelo Zimmon was born in Darlington, South Carolina on May 4, 1987.
A Time To Flourish:
Mr. Alexander Angelo Zimmon graduated from Lamar High School Class of 2006. In 2007, he moved to Virginia where he worked various jobs. Alex later moved to Dickinson, Texas in 2013 where he worked at Fed Ex.
A Time To Celebrate:
On Thursday afternoon, July 13, 2023 at UTMB Hospital in League City, Texas. Alex transition from this earthly life to be with his Heavenly Father. Alex was loving, caring, giving, supportive, sun, brother and uncle. Alex loved to spend time with his mother and talking on the phone with his niece, Zee-Zee. Alex enjoyed watching football and taking long road trips.
A Time For Family:
Those left to cherish his memories are: his mother, Shirley Zimmon; step-father, Robert Gregg; two sisters: Katrina Zimmon and Emily Ruff; two nieces: Ka’Zariyah “Zee-Zee) Zimmon and Sha’myra Jackson; a special friend, Charles Smith; five brothers: Maurice (Adriana) Brunson, Tammy Brunson, Jr., Anthony Brunson, Tommy Brunson, Jr., Anthony Brunson, Tommy (Pookie) Brunson and Dorell Spann; three aunts: Tina Zimmon, Dominique Brunson and Coronica Brunson; an uncle, Casey Brunson; a special cousin, Valicia Zimmerman; a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, other family members and friends.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the residence of his mother, 1514 Knot Heads Drive, Timmonsville, SC.
