On early Wednesday morning, October 18, 2023, Mother Annie Mae Daniels heard her Master's call at a Florence medical center following an extended illness.
The celebration of a life is 1:00PM on Sunday, October 22, 2023 in Lawson Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Shiloh UMC Cemetery.

“For now, I am ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith, henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.” II Timothy 4:6-8
Mrs. Annie Mae Daniels was born in Darlington, SC, a daughter of the late Florence and Laura Wallace Lighty. She entered into her final resting place on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 in McLeod Hospice House, Florence, SC.
She received her formal education in the Darlington County Public Schools and worked on the farm.
Mrs. Daniels was united in marriage to the late McKinley Daniels and to this union a daughter, Maxine Daniels Mack was born.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: Marie Lighty, Louise “Ambrilles” Ham, Clyde Lighty, Willie Lighty, Leroy Lighty and Robert Lee Lighty; two grandchildren: J. D. Mack and Douglas Mack; two great-grandchildren: Elmer Mack and Theresa Mack; and grandson-in-law, Glennon Johnson.
Those left to cherish her memory are: her children: Maxine Daniels Mack of Darlington, SC; Lindanna (Bernard) Cherry of Florence, SC, and Michael Brown of Darlington, SC; grandchildren: Annie Ruth (James) Dubose, Willie (Vanessa) Mack, Fannie Mae (Glen) Evans, Peggy Graham all of Darlington, SC, Rosa (Anthony) Robinson of Florence, SC, Sheila Johnson of Darlington, SC, Chippetta (Peggy) Daniels of Columbia, SC, Tornisha Singleton of Lamar, SC, and Gwennette Vernon of Camden, SC, Stacey (Stacy) Harris of Eastover, SC, Dwayne (Celestine) Brown of Florence, SC, and Felicia Brown of Hartsville, SC; a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Shirley McDaniels and Wilhelmenia Daniels; two special nieces: Rosa Lee Johnson and Lula Mae Brown; and other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the residence of her granddaughter, Mrs. Sheila Mack Johnson, 735 Lighthouse Road, Darlington.
