The family of Miss Tiffany Moody in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, would love to be surrounded by your presence. They acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic health conditions and ask that those who attend the service ensure you are wearing a MASK and practice social distancing.  During this time, the family needs mostly your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.

Tiffany Monique Moody was the youngest child of five siblings, born to Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Moody on November 19, 1992 in Denmark SC. Being placed in foster care, she was united in the home of Otis and Shelia Nichols in October of 1993 and remained in the home until October 24, 2016. The SC Department of Social Services followed Tiffany up to her eighteen birthday and then she transitioned to the Department of Disability and Special Needs. The Nichols welcomed the new addition to the family. Being that Tiffany was a special need child, it was said that she would not be able to walk, talk or learn many life skills. But God intervened in her life. Once she started talking, she had no problem voicing her opinions. After Tiffany learned to walk, she became very active. Even though Tiffany was a very shy person, she was very visual in learning life skills but she never liked large crowds and always wanted to be the center of attention. Tiffany was brought up in a God-fearing home and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior.

Tiffany attended the public schools of Darlington, SC and graduated from Darlington High School in 2012.  She furthered her education attending Coastal Carolina University in Conway SC. She was gifted in math and geographic locations.

Our challenge was learning Tiffany, being a special need child, and adapting to her needs. The love the family had for Tiffany was an experience like none other. Tiffany did not want to be treated like a special need child but that of any other normal child, despite her abnormalities. Her smile, character and the love she had for others was contagious. Tiffany loved her mom, Ms. Shelia Nichols, and never overcame the loss of not having her in her life. She also loved Bishop and Mother Wingate (foster grandparents). Tiffany’s last year of life was with Ms. Candace Harris of Columbia, SC. The Harris’ family loved having Tiffany in their lives.

Those left to cherish her memories are: her biological family: her mom, dad siblings and grandparent; her foster father, Elder Otis (Edna) Nichols; her big brother, Jonathan (Dametria) Nichols; her foster mom, Candice Harris; and foster sister, Destiny Pinckney; her nephew, Jay Nichols; her niece, Krista Nichols and a host of biological and foster aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives.

Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.
