If ever there was an "angel right here on earth", it was Ms. Mattie. The picture posted of her reflects her outer and inner beauty. There was never a time growing up in Florence, that when I saw Ms. Mattie, she was not smiling or offering an encouraging word. Derek, your mom's transition is proof that we ALL need to get our lives in order, because if God is calling some of his earthly-perfected, angels home....time must be winding up for the rest of us.
