Ms. Margaret Marie "Sook" Dudley

It is with profound sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Ms. Margaret Marie "Sook" Dudley. Ms. Dudley passed on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at her residence. 

Funeral service is 1:00PM on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Flat Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Faith Memorial Gardens.

                                    “The Lord is my light and my Salvation.”

Ms. Margaret Marie “Sook” Dudley, the oldest daughter of the late Willie Sr. and Margaret Olivia Williamson Dudley was born June 20, 1952 in Darlington, SC.  She departed this earthly life on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at her residence.

“Sook” received her formal education in the Darlington County Public School System. 

She attended Flat Creek Baptist Church along with her family and was a homemaker and babysitter.

“Sook” had a love for football.  Her favorite team was The New England Patriots with “Tom Brady” being her all time favorite.

“Sook” has six children that her memories will always be cherished by:  Teresa (Michael) Stevenson, Belinda (David) Dudley both of Darlington, SC, Angela Small of Winston-Salem, NC, Allen Dudley, Amy Dudley both of the home and Regina (Kenneth) Graham of Dovesville, SC; seventeen grandchildren: Britney, Bianca, Frederick Jr., Reginald, Darrel, Tytiana, Tajuan, Patrick, Armani, Allen Jr., Tiara, Kenneth Jr., Jamia, Armonty, Lyric, Alayshia and Akatilyn; nine great grandchildren: Tanaja, Khloie, Zyrianna, Mariah, Taylen, Ta’mir, Morgan, Bentley, Tanilah; two special grands: Jakobe and Ethan; six brothers: Willie (Ernestine) Dudley, Troy (Annie) Dudley, John Dudley, Richard (Louise) Dudley, Robert Dudley and Jessie (Mae) Dudley all of Darlington, SC; two sisters: Catherine (John) Mazon of Darlington, SC and Ernestine (James) Ross of Florence, SC; one uncle, Leon (Gloria) Dudley of Bennettsville, SC; one aunt, Sudie (Edward) Wylie of Jonosboro, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends: Josephine Coleman, P.J. Smith, Christina Jackson Scott, Stephanie McMillian Scipio; a host of other relatives and friends.

“Sook” was preceded in death by: a sister, Betty Jean Dudley; two brothers: Dennis Dudley and John Phillip (Margaret) Dudley and a sister-in-law, Evelina Dudley.    

The Dudley Family is receiving relatives and friends at 1409 Leon Blvd, Darlington.
