Sarah Lee Williams, 67, was born on July 17, 1952 in Eutawville, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late James High, Sr. and Bessie High.  She transitioned to be with the Lord into eternal peace, joy, and rest on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at McLeod Hospital after a short illness.

Sarah attended Orangeburg County Public Schools in Holly Hill, SC. She worked as a seamstress while living in New York then later moved to South Carolina to devote her time and energy to foster children throughout the State of South Carolina.

Sarah was a faithful and devoted member of Round O Missionary Baptist Church and later became a member of New Life Church of Lord Jesus Christ, Inc., formally known as Progressive Church where she served as a member of the Adult Choir and Women's Auxiliary. Sarah loved the Lord and confessed her love every chance she got.  She had a love for gospel music which was her favorite past time. Her humor, generosity and gracious spirit filled the hearts of everyone that was in her presence. "Sarah" was a listening ear for all her family and friends.  She always took the time to care for others in need.  She loved and accepted everyone into her family.  Those who knew and loved her will cherish her memories forever.

In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her brothers: Archie Hardy High, Elijah High, Sr. and sister: Dorothy (Jerry) Dennis.

Those left to cherish Sarah's loving memories include:  her devoted husband of 43 years: Mallie Taylor Williams, Sr.; three sons: Mallie (Taye) Williams of Columbia, SC, Stevie Williams of Columbia, SC, and Micheal (Amy) Williams of Thomasville, NC; eleven grandchildren; five loving sisters: Pastor Anne Lee High, Betty Gaithers, Mazie (Melvin) Benjamin, Charlotte Ann (Nathaniel) Robinson, Carrie Harton, and Donna Bokkart; three brothers: Charlies (Betty Ann) High, Sr., James (Rose) High, Jr. and Same (Bonnie) Brown; mother-in-law: Mrs. Robbie Mae Taylor Williams; brother-in-laws: Ernest G. Williams, Jimmy (Bobbie Jean) Williams, Minister Barney (Natalya) Williams, Representative Robert Q. (Janice) Williams, and Joseph Williams; a host of godchildren, foster children, nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends, and the New Life Church family.
