Mrs. Linda Reynolds Edwards

It is with heartfelt sorrow the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mrs. Linda Reynolds Edwards of Darlington.  Mrs. Edwards transitioned on Monday evening, September 2, 2019 at her residence. 

Funeral service will be 1:00PM on Monday, September 9, 2019 at Christ Temple Holiness Church.  Burial will follow in Faith Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Linda Reynolds Edwards was born in Patrick Springs, Virginia on April 28, 1950 a daughter of Richard and Lois Reynolds.  She changed her address from Precious Lane, Darlington to Precious Lane in Heaven with God on Monday, September 2, 2019.

Linda attended Patrick Central School in Patrick County during her elementary years and Albert Harris High School in Martinville, Virginia.

Linda was baptized at Faith Tabernacle Church in New Haven, Connecticut and she always believed that God and Church was wherever she was whether in church, home or on her job.

Linda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend and so much more….

She and her departed husband, Gerald “Bunk” Edwards, founded and owned the Edwards & Associates Insurance Agencies in Hartsville and Florence, SC.

She along side her husband and family loved to entertain and help anyone that they knew were in need.  She was an excellent cook and made sure that anyone that wanted left with a plate of food.  Linda will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory are:  her sons: Gerald V. Edwards (Latosha) of Florence, SC and Corey Lamont Edwards (Veronica) of Darlington, SC; four grandsons: Jaquan Edwards, Kion Edwards, Naseem Edwards and Noah Edwards of Florence, SC; one granddaughter, Zadia Davis of Greensboro, NC at AT&T University; one great grandson; two brothers: Dennis Reynolds of Orange, CT and John Reynolds (Leacy) of West Haven, CT; three sisters: Annie Hagwood, Juanita Reynolds Wright (James) both of New Haven, CT and Gracie Flood (Eddie) of Martinsville, VA; one brother-in-law, Ernest Edwards; one sister-in-law, Ann Edwards both of Darlington, SC; four special relatives and friends: Herbert McCurry, Latasha McCurry-Samuel (Edwards), Ricky Benton and Eric; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other close relatives and friends.    

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald “Bunk” Edwards; one sister, Barbara King; five brothers: Benjamin, Reverend William Reynolds, Melvin Reynolds, Joe Reynolds and Reverend Glen Reynolds.

Visitation for the relatives and friends of the Edwards family will be held at the residence, 525 Precious Lane (off of Blue Street), Darlington.
