Mrs. Georgia M. Lide Fox was born on April 16, 1935 a daughter of the late George and Blanche Andres Lide.

She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church at an early age.  As the years passed, she became unable to attend church services due to illness.

Mrs. Georgia M. Lide Fox relocated to New York during the year of 1969 for a better

Living opportunity.  She joined The Greater Allen AME Methodist Church and attended faithfully.

She was employed at the Eagle Electronic Mfg. Company as a machinist operator while in New York.

Married at an early age of 18, Georgia Fox was blessed with 5 daughters: Elaine Fox Rampersant, Jannie Fox, Lillie Fox, Archy Fox Crafton and Diedra Fox, Esq.; one son, George Fox.  The blessings continued with 10 grand-children and 9 great grands.  She was specially blessed with the addition of 2 sons-in-law, Teddy Rampersant and Walter Crafton and one daughter-in-law, Michele Coe Fox.

After raising her children in New York, she returned to South Carolina.  Having a nurturing spirit, she became a foster mother for many years and received a number of achievement awards from the South Carolina Department of Social Services for her child development participation.

She entered into her crown of rest early Monday morning, August 26, 2019 at her home with her daughter, Elaine Fox Rampersant and niece, Linda Warren by her side.

She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory: one sister, Estellar Lide Peterson; one sister-in-law, Mattie Lide; one brother-in-law, Willie Warren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Please keep the Lide/Fox families in your thoughts and prayers.
