~Life's Reflections~
“Hey, this Tywann Maurice Mickens, Sr. AKA the “Freak. I was born on June 24, 1978 in Florence, South Carolina to Tyrone and Charlene Byrd Mickens. As God would see it, He took me on that same day in 2019 on my 41 st birthday, Ya’ Heard. I received my education in the Darlington County Public School System. Those was the days. I ripped those halls and cut up a bit but MAN, I did it. Swung right with the Class of 1997 from Darlington High School. I did that. I married my girl Takenya from Florence in 2012 and we had five children. We raised seven children together. Everybody already know I had that thing for that music. King of the PD is what they called me #CROWNUP whenever I came through, I was kicking a freestyle or dropping my latest track. Boi, family is everything and I loved mine beyond measures. I planted seven seeds in this world, but I managed to grow eight. They were the loves of my life. Throughout my life I’ve been employed through multiple places, but God blessed me with my dream job at Hartsfield -Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Although my life has come to an end, I leave many memories and my legacy to be carried out by: my wife, Takenya Peterson Mickens; my Children: Tyjajuan Mickens, Ty’Uanna Mickens, Tywann Mickens, Jr., Tyson Mickens, Tiana Mickens, Tyrah Mickens and Tyrese Mickens; Mom and Pops: Charlene Mickens of Darlington, SC and Tyrone Mickens of Denver, CO; my Bro, Christopher Mickens, Florence, SC; my sisters: Tashonda M. Mickens, Florence, SC and Mauresha Lynn Mickens, Denver, CO; Maternal grandparents, Mattie (Alfred) Tolson, Baltimore, MD; Paternal grandmother, Geraldine Harrison, Darlington, SC; My Auntie’s: Melissa Byrd, Florence, SC, Ongenette (Michael) Washington, Baltimore, MD, Angela (Donald) Hardison, Baltimore, MD, Sharice Shuler, Baltimore, MD; my Unc’s Wallace (Shana) Eaton, Baltimore, MD, Elder James (Karen) Shuler Jr., Orlando, FL, Roger Mickens, Utah, Andre (Karen) Mickens, Colorado Springs, CO and Michael (Tracy) Mickens, Missouri; Mother -in -Law, Loretta (Fontell) Peterson -Godwin; my Brother -in -laws: Tyquan Gee and Christopher Peterson, Florence, SC; my Sister -in -laws Christy Peterson and Destiny Wingate, Florence, SC. My nephew Chrisean Mickens. My nieces Infiniti, Mahagoni and Kelia Mickens and Daziyah Eggleston. John Williams you know you in there. Biologically I was blessed with one brother, but I grabbed another five along the way, Ronnie Williams, Monty Sansbury, Markelle Sansbury, Jamal Spears and Randall Byrd; Although I had a lot of positive influential people in my life, my Uncle Wallace was not only an uncle but my big brother. The memories of me will continue to be carried on by an abundance of family and friends. Just know I love Y’all dearly.
